Alison Peretti

Alison grew up in Colonia, New Jersey. She was an athlete, excelling in gymnastics, cheerleading, and track and field. She studied environmental law at Rutgers University. She later graduated from Somerset School of Massage Therapy in 2005. After practicing independently for five years treating soft tissue dysfunctions and stress-related pain disorders, she decided to further her education and pursue a degree in physical therapy.

Alison graduated from Union County College with an AAS in 2011 and obtained her NJ license as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She worked in the field of pain management for three years, where she practiced soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, and therapeutic exercise to improve patients’ abilities to perform daily activities without pain. She joined New Jersey Institute of Balance in 2014.

Alison takes a holistic approach to physical therapy and believes that treatment should address all aspects of a person’s well-being. She has taken advanced coursework in myofascial release, joint mobilization, and the use of electric stimulation to treat trigger points in patients with fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain.

In her free time, Alison enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys cooking, reading, writing, and furthering her education. She currently resides in Avenel with her husband Jesse, their son Adam and their pets.
